View Full Version : Waxoyl / Bodywork Protection..
Hello All,
A little advice please. I have got a Willy 1 that I am bringing back to life after about 7 years off the road. It has a sound shell with no obvious rust or blemishes, however, as far as I can see, it is very unlikley to stay like that.
Any recomendations on how to avoid a swiss cheese shell a year down the line?
Cheers
Steve
yes.
you need to coat the shell inside and out.
waxoyls ok but dinitrol is better but more expensive.

so the inside need to be striped and antirust wax injected into the cavity's sills chassis section etc.
any rust needs sandblasting/wirebrushing back a anti rust treatment like dinitrol/krust then underneath arches etc need a stonechip/schultz with an added rust preventive
any body rust needs sandblasting/wirebrushing back a anti rust treatment like dinitrol/krust then an antirust primer then top coat.
Cheers Maxi....
A lot of work, but well worth it in the long run...
Thank You
