Finally got round to fitting the new boot strip I got for the "J". Reason I'd never fitted it was that the holes that were pre-drilled in it for the badges didn't line up with the badges. :roll:

So out came the Dremel-alike. Then when I went to fit it the original screws didn't fit. The holes were for shorter screws. :roll: So I had to grind the ends off the originals (there was a 3-4mm bit at the end with no thread.

Can't remember mate. not too bad I don't think. About £30 for badges and the same again maybe?

Does look good in those photos. Don't look quite as good in the flesh because the panels are all different shades! :roll:

Saving up now for new suspension and a bit of panel colour matching. Also going to get some of the original stickers re-done. Especially the COTY one.

Makin me think twice about phase 2 conv. badges defo retro cool, don't think they'd last long where i live tho!

i'm 50/50 at the mo fell in love with the phase 2 as it was my first, think i'm gonna phase 2 mine and keep the bits just in case, save me a fortune on back to black as well!!!

looks good . is that wiper the first release one ?? the wide everyone allways stole (wankers) and did not no phase one hade a seperate jetwash on rear

definately letting the ph1 side down

turbines might make an appearance for FCS
