Clutch Issues

Fitted a new cable cable to my Valver cus i thought the old one had stretched too much. The new one seems to have excess slack and hence i cannot get any gears with the engine running.
I've taken the clutch pedal off but cannot see anything dramatically wrong.
Any ideas??? :(

get an oppo to press the clutch pedal and observe the pedal arm movement.

might be the ratchet, may be a fubar clutch. lol

Just put my rebuilt engine in with a new clutch so guessing its a trip to good old Reno to get a new clutch pedal assembly
