when i removed the petrol cap from my williams fri, sat and yesterday to fill up there was a hiss sound as if a load of pressure had just been released from the tank! i havent driven it for a while but i don't recall this happening in the past.

the car has been of the road for 6 months, started and ran maybe once a month.

i ran it almost dry at one point. left it for a week, put a gallon of fuel in then attempted to fire it up. it would run for a couple of seconds hunt a bit then cut out. after putting another gallon of fuel in it ran ok.

i have replaced the fuel filter and theres no fuel leaks

any ideas or help would be great

it's happened with various amountsd left in the tank from the warning light up to just over a 1/4 tank. today when i unlocked the cap the pressure almost pushed the cap out of my hand.

i will check the breather in a min, where can i find the solenoid valve?
