What lap times?! What lap times?!
Note the totally different lines to the ones track day organisers give us. I'm ignoring them next time
i carnt believe how quick he is through old hall, the avenue into cascades....well late on the brakes.

dont forget...hes in a fully prepped race car...we are in road cars.massive diff.
his lines dont actually look all that diff to the ones i take tbh.
Yeah, Gaz pointed that out when I said about the touring cars having different lines. It's gotta make a difference, but I reckon a lot of it is also do to with the cones being set out for rear-drive cars, which need a later turn-in point than front-drivers.
His lines look a lot different to some of mine
It will be different lines for sure. The suspesion and brakes make a huge difference, let alone the power and weight difference to most normal cars.
Surely though, the basic principles should apply no matter what. I am no racing driver, but isn't one basic rule to cut an apex carrying as much speed as possible (or lose as little as poss?).
I think the main factor that would dictate a varying lines is which wheels the power comes out from. There's certainly no one best line for every single car and driver combo to go through a corner. Hence why I'm going to (semi) ignore the cones next time!
the cones are there as markers????
thats where i been going wrong..lol.

Quite the opposite - it's the best thing to do!

I've been to a few trackdays where some of the instructors have said to ignore the cones as they're generally always in the wrong place!
