Wet & dry and metal polish

Would have to top up the polish every month, maybe twice a month in winter!!

start with say 400 - 800 - 1000 - 2000 - metal polish

If 400 takes loads of time and effort - try a lower grade to shift the paint?

I did this. It takes aaaaaagggggeeeeeesssss.

Id get it machined if i did it again. Or buy new alloys.

Mark said aluminium paint works well. Why not try that. If its shit youcan just sand it off like you were going to anyway. Would also hide all the marks. Then just laquer it.

Aluminum paint? is that just some brush on stuff from helfrauds?

yes.

If not you want course sand paper to get the paint off. Then fine stuff and lots of polish.

tbh - i think the sanding & polishing sounds like the way forward, although i'm sure i won't be saying that when i'm halfway through the first one!!

Id allow 20 hours per wheels to get a good shine.

Wet and dry then them polishing blocks I showed you would bring them up lovely Jan.

When i've got the slight corrosion off mine i'm getting the rim lacquered. Don't know why Lepsons don't do it. I personally wouldn't pay for a refurb, which in my eyes is only half finished.

I've booked friday off work to spend polishing my rims and they have a very good polish on them already. Not a quick job.

Why not use a Dremel? Don't they have some accessories that could do the job as well?
