View Full Version : Standard Suspension Bolt Assembly
I dont supose anyone has a picture of a standard Williams shock showing how the bolt plate attaches to the top of the strut itself.
I have a naff picture which looks like its welded?

What's the bolt plate?
Im after a close up picture of the area shown by the red arrow.
The bolt plate is the bit which sticks out from the bottom of the strut.

i could take a photo but yes they are welded on.
Cool so there are welded on at the top and the bottom?

yeah and on my leda,s there just flat plates welded to the struts. not a wrapped around bracket.

In the black/white pics it shows the plate as a wrap around bracket type thing?
I had a warrenty dispute with my aftermarket coilovers..
And they said that they used the same lower part as the standard shocks and it is assembled the same.
This isnt the case now, and because of the lack of a weld at the top it has meant my coilover failed there and bent inwards.
Which imo is a dangerous design flaw.
