right trying to lower the clio but can,t get the sides the same no matter what i do. there,s always a 40mm difference between the sides even if i adjust them the same or different in the air every time i lower it to the ground there different again. even tried lowering it while on the ground but i just can,t get the drivers side any lower as it feels its being held up be the passenger side bar. any advice greatly received.

cheers maxiboy.

are the bars sliding in again easily? or does the side thats not sitting right not slide freely? maybe take that side slightly higher till the bar pops in right then it should settle equal

iirc u said one side was seized, that could be affecting it, maybe its been in wrong for a long time and given the beam a bias to one side?

yes bars are sliding in really easily again now. tried loads of combinations jack up jacked other side down and then the lower side up as far as it goes with all the cars weight on it. think i,ve tried everything but could be missing some thing really simple. just can,t get it right.

cant think of anything, i only have experience with closed type as never done a valver, but it was as simple as pop out, jack to desired height, pop back in, no funny niggly bits or anything :?

With an open type you shouldn't be jacking up the sides you should be jacking up the middle?

sorted it today. jacked the middle and still sat 40mm out. got fed up with it pushed it out the garage and it levelled it self. must of just been where it was sat.
