Well I finally got around to stripping the engine down to see how much damage had occured at Donington Park and.............

One snapped Conrod with two sizeable holes in the block and two damaged valves later!

Now I have the dilema of what to do next?

I'm after a cheap F7R engine to put in while I weigh up which parts can and cannot be reused from the old broken engine.

I already have access to a 1.8 16v engine but even with some Piper / Kent Fast Road Camshafts (i.e Cheapish reground Cams) I don't think I'll be getting the sort of power I would from a standard F7R and no where near the sort of torque. But with only 3 or so weeks before the next Donington Trakzone Day it's a potential option.

Decisions, decisions.............

Sorted :)

As to the dilema - I'd chuck the 1.8 in and save up until you can build a decent spec F7R.
