I think this is going to be my next investment on payday this month.

Either that or a full stainless system including s/s manifold. Im not fully decided however.

Im just wondering people can recommend any particular brand, seen as there are so many to choose from.
Im leaning towards AVOs but there are so many.
Which are the best value for money? Most reliable?

Im probably gonna spend upto £500 and im not too bothered in the £800 ones which allow you to adjust the rebound and bump all in one etc...I just want to be able to adjust the height.

Thanks In Advance

Mike

ai avos go for around £350 iirc and are decent enough items

am runnin FK's, bout £520 i think and are quality items but having never used avos could recommend one over the other!

yeah but ledas are extortionate price wise arent they...?

the guy at balance motorsport reckons that gaz ones are just as good but for a fraction of the price of ledas...

and as for the FK lot....wtf are you supposed to do with so many to choose from: theres the silverline x kit, silverline, konig-sport, high-sport??

why cant all sites break them down like that....10 Points there for being clear as crystal. thats also a good site, never seen that before.

I think ill be opting for the silverline x if i get those...

but then theres the issue of am i going to wide track my valver? No point in buying the valver coilovers if im gonna put a willy track on it is there? lol....dont ya just love this game!

difference between the too is basically a slight difference in bolts hole placement that can be overcome with camber adjusting bolts in the short time and then allow you to adjust you camber when you fit the widetrack.

Well im gonna have about £900 to splash on 25th may so to save the messing about with that, im thinkin if i get a supersprint manifold and full system this month - spend the rest on sourcing the wide track kit and when i get paid next month i get the coilovers and fit the wide track at the same time next month. I smell a plan....

too be fair, i brought some coilovers for my mk2 golf , supersport items imported from germany, i was being a tight arse so i didnt spend the money for the rebound adjustable one, wish i had of, the ride is so harsh its unbeliveable, too stiff for our roads. the cheaper coilovers for any car are obviously uprated but way too much.
My conclusion is, if you just want height adjustable for the track just get some budget coilovers, but if you are planning to use them daily i would consider the more expensive items because you will pay the price when your spine collapses,
or just get some koni sport shockers with some eibach springs which will give you tight handling and a nice ride, but im only talking from my experience with my golf, i dont know if the budget coilovers are this harsh for a clio.
