My car is dropping to bits!

Ive had a wet patch for a while on the passenger seatbelt which is only apparent when it pisses it down.

When you pull the passenger seatbelt through its pissed wet through when it rains.

Now the driver side is starting to do the same.

What is it that causing it?

Dodgy door seal maybe?

Just so I know where to look if anyone has had similar problems.

And please no one tell me my sills might be rotten for ****s sake!!

Cheers
Leigh.

Do you get a sloshing sound at all?
Check the drainage holes on the sills are clear.

No seriously though I cant hear any sloshing that Im aware of.

I will check drainage holes first off tomorrow.

Cheers
Leigh.

Your quite knowledgable arent you maxiboy!? :o

Yeah I have the rear opening type.

The bottom of the plastic pillar seems really damp when you touch it.

Could it really be antenna for seatbealts?

You have to pull quite a lot of the belt out before you feel the wetness.

the metal can rust though under the seal and let water in or the seal,s have a join in them at the bottom which can also allow water to fill the seals and run into the car behind the rear plastic panels. best way to check is remove the trim and get someone to spray the outside with a hose while shut in the car checking with a torch.

wud do if the car was allowed out to play in the rain, dry miles only for me tho!

its a diff issue tho, my perspex windows hace warped and no longer seal against the seals atal along the top edge, am gonna cut them down and fit 1.2 solid seals
