Hey guys,

Just finished putting her all back together. Took me and my dad most of the day, but here are the pics anywho!

Basically I've removed the old black carpet and valver seats and put in a new willy carpet, mats (as seen in my previous thread) and leather seats. :)

Still needs some work, the passenger chair ain't straight and so won't slide forward and back and the carpet needs a clean again as it still has a few marks. Also, the pics of the wires were all under the carpet and were just cut and left in the car, terrible. So I've ripped them all out properly and oooohhhh gained at least 10bhp from the weight saved. Lol!

Thanks! 8)

Did it used to have a rollcage fitted?
Looks like a mounting plate in the driverside rear footwell.

Looks a lot better with that carpet in :D

Bloody love that colour on the car - Was it easy to rip out the old seats?

My plan was to take them out while I super scrub the carpet and respray the seat runners while I'm at it :D

i love the contrast of the dark blue carpets and the light blue matts, think it looks superb! think im going to give my carpet a good clean and get it upto scratch, anyone with a williams know how hard or easy it is to remove the seats?

Thanks fellas. ;)

With regards to removing the seats. The rears are easy. The bottoms are just on those hooks and pull out. The top part of the rear you just fold forward and then from the backside, at the bottom, they are just clipped on. Just need to fold a catch and they should pop off.

The fronts are bit more fiddly. The outside rails of the two seats are un-done from the inside of the car. Simply slide the chair forward, and undo the bolt. Then slide the chair back, and undo the other bolt. However, the inside rail is done from underneath the car (CRAZY!). So you slide under the car to the middle (around the cat area) and there are x4 nuts to undo. Size 13mm iirc for the socket. (A long socket helps).

Then the chairs just lift out. Well not fully, you slide it back then lift out.

The runners are attached to the chairs with x5 bolts. x3 are on the inside one and x2 on the outside one. If you remove the plastic guards (you know, where the handles on the seats are for folding forward, etc) then you can reach them easily. (Otherwise you have to bend the plastic to get the ratchet in).

Also, getting the black handle off that flips the chair up and down is a bit awkward. You need a thin screwdriver under the back of it and then you have to hit it off. It's like pushed into a little dimple, that's all that holds it on. So the screwdriver lifts it over the dimple and then when you hit it it'll come off.

Think that's everything. It's not hard, you can see what needs to come off easily, but it's just getting to it. :)

The carpet was also easy. Only awkward part was around the centre console as the carpet has a tiny piece which joins both sides and runs under the console (roughly under the ash tray area). What I did was just undo the console, lift it up as high as I could, then cut this little piece. For the rest of the car it just tucks under the side plastic bits, so you can simply just lift the plastic and pull the carpet out (it's only on poppers the plastic).
