will a 1.8 metal head gasket be ok for my williams? for my turbo?

its a 1.25mm metal gasket. will this be ok running low comp pistons :D

it might be a little big around the bores i think but not sure. its a standard gasket so compress to a 1mm thickness. think the pistons are williams at 82.7mm instead of the 1.8 82mm. plus you will need to hone the bores to allow the new rings to bed in properly

im having an engineering company hone the bores, check it all over fit the pistons and poss lighten the crank and flywheel.

but bought a gasket of the above spec

yeah really not sure what the 0.7 difference will make but the pistons might catch the edge of the gasket. plus you might not get the same amount of seal. i sell and buy a 2.0 litre gasket myself.

its going to be a case of offering it up to the block and checking clearance. or at least measure the fire-ring diameter to give you an idea of how its going to fit. If it overlaps, it wont last long...esp on a turbo motor.

came through today :D from our man maxiboy (big thanks). ive always wanted to run a clio turbo, and now ive realised theres no other car for me im goin all out, doin it proper. overhauling the whole car!!! im gathering bits. ordering loads every month. its costing money but i no its gonna be worth it. its just finding the little bits out that i get stuck on. like the headgasket. got quite a few bits. gonna start a project thread next week so watch this space....
