Coolant Expansion Tank cap colour

Got a new expansion tank for the valver, and after chatting to some people, it seems the cap could be wrong...

its brown, like my last one (and my F3P engined car before). Apparently its meant to be blue?

After running for a while, all the coolant seems to get sucked out of the tank but comes back if you unscrew the cap a little... This can't be good! :o

so is it the right one?

Brown is fine,

I went to ren and asked for a new one for my valver, he handed me a brown one i said.."this is the wrong one no? clio 1.8 16v's use a high pressure blue caps", he said that it had been updated and they use the brown caps too, did they update it my arse!

Ran it on brown cap and it was fine for months and months youve got no worry at all mate.

I've drained it loads of times :(

sounds like air in the system. probably not bleeding it correctly. (do a search :wink: )
