As I cracked my old one I decided to go on a hunt and look for some replacements...

While I delved into many useless websites I found one that sounded ok...

I purchased a set of EGR branded replacement protectors which usually are direct copys of the gen ren ones but branded EGR instead of renault...

The replacements popped through my door this evening and this is what I found.

As you can see no EGR branding at all - infact don't they look a little like Renault ones but without the Renault etching?

Why they are!!

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y29/Daz0rz/Daz072.jpg

All someones done is rubbed off the Renault badge and stuck a sticker over the old part number bag but these are 100% genuine renault protectors - same part number and both mine were made quite recently (April 2003) so we know whos been hoarding them all these years!

If you can live without the fact they don't say renault on them then £30 odd gets you some new uns rather than hunting down potential damaged ones on ebay.

I thank you!
:king:

(Please note I threw away the packaging and I'm trying to find the name of the site and the link so you can order some!)

(please please! note that this is what I recieved and next time someone might get EGR branded ones not these - I'm half tempted to order another set for spares and to prove the theory!)

Daz.

it did me but I'm not going to guarantee it - even if they are branded they could be removed like those?

Someone should group buy these - they might actually get some in stock if they're guaranteed to shift them! lol
