Finally got round to getting my wheels re-furbed as they were in a right state and the tyres were deflating each week. Took them to Pristine, as they did a decent job on my other set, but did not get the correct colour match, so I provided them with the paint this time and I think the colour is pretty spot on.

Well...depend what you mean by correct, but they took off a bit too much for my liking, but they say that they have a "set" setting for williams wheels when they use the lathe. Two of the caps were'nt the best finish either, which i was'nt pleased about, but they said that they used all the paint tup that I provided, even thought there was loads, so there no point going back to get them done. Ah well, you'll never get them 100% correct unless you have the tools and spraying equipment to do it yourself. Such is life.

The lettering etc on the wheels will not look so clear because originally the wheels were'nt powder primed, which is what most places do now in order to make the finish more durable. Thats why if you buy a brand new set of wheels from Renault they don't lat long before they chip and the paints flaking. Generally though I'm pleased with how they have turned out.

the writing on my refurbs is perfect. and now after 4 years abuse since the refurb, the only bits that have chipped etc is where they been kerbed by the mrs, or hit by a stone or suchlike. £300 for a job should be top notch. imo

Depends really m8, cos if there powder priming the wheels first, then the letters will be filled up more that if you were just using a normal etching primer. At the end of the day, its a more durable finish, so thats what i'm after.
