Clay bar'd the bugger today, ALOT of work but am pleased with the results, pics do no justice and am too lazy to go find somewhere to take better ones!

The meet tomorrow may yield better pics!

Clay....works very well....but u must make sure that the paintwork is well lubricated with the detailing spray that you are given with the clay bar...or use some soapy water in a sparay bottle. Best to avoid doing it in the sun though. My old hybrid looked brilliant after using it.

Blood, sweat and tears mate lol.

No, Meguiars NXT car wash first to get it clean. Then Meguiars quick clay detail kit followed by Meguiars nxt tech wax (is in a purple bottle). Then a polish with autogylm super resin polish.

Takes ages, make sure you take your time and as Matt said don't clay the panel if its dry otherwise you will pull paint up. Keep it constantly lubricated.

Good man,

I have the Following : -

Meguiars quick clay detail
Autoglym Super resin
Autoglym High Gloss Finish
Autoglym Deep shine
Meguiars light swirl and scratch remover polish
Autoglym conditioner shampoo
Also 6 high tech Meguiars cloths ha

My paint is generally very good but has a few very light scratches and swirls that are normally filled when using Autoglym Deep shine polish/wax.

I want to remove them completely.

So will the following do the trick in this order?

Autoglym conditioner shampoo
Meguiars light swirl and scratch remover polish
Meguiars quick clay detail
Autoglym Deep shine
Autoglym High Gloss Finish

I would ditch the AG Deep shine in favour of the AG resin polish. AG High Gloss is great stuff!

Be careful with the Megs scratch remover - if not used properly it can cause more scratches than it removes - use as little as possible and not in direct light.

What ever u do....don't use the clay in the sun! :shock:Best avoided if possible....seems to react with the paint strangly otherwise. In the shade is where its at.

Thats the one m8...worth waiting, some people had totally guggered their paint up claying during sunny periods.
