pasengers side is out and was fine to do but having alot of problem with the drivers side.

Basiaclly started to punch the roll pin out and noticed it coming out other side so got the molegrips on it and pulled it out the problems is theres seems to be something still stuck in there is there twopieces to the rollpin?

Ive been trying to punch it for ages and isnt budging. going to get some more punches tomoz just wondered if ive done anything wrong or have i missed something out?

any other way to get rollpin out? any help much apreciated

yes its got 2 parts, inner bit and outer sleeve

use a 5mm pin punch.

mine was screwed like this, use proper punches, else you may have to get an angle grinder on the drive shaft :P

tryed at it allday isnt budging what else can i do to get it out is there no speacial tools for job etc.

need it out asap

just a 5mm punch or maybe drill bit.

i cut through the shaft, pulled out the engine, drilled out the hole and got a new drive shaft :S

found it really hard to get the drill under etc etc... try a dremel, mine was broken at the time.. use it to drill out the pin.

You sure your not being a girl.. may be you have taken enough out to pull out the drive shaft, if you can punch through from both ends, as the thing is hollow.. maby a big tug is all it needs to pull it off.

Just some suggestions!

the inner one is out but the punch stapped of in side tryed punching it out with another but isnt buding

how much is sticking out... the number of things i got stuck.

Grip the mole grips to it and then hit the grips with a hammer.. worked every time for me!

the middle pin is out then started on the other bit the punch stapped inside and cant grip it, so i got a new punch and started hitting it from other side it got so far then stopped and wont budge the other ends the same it seems to be stuck in the middle :x

what are you trying to do in removing the driveshaft.

get the engine out

then undo the boot inner joint and pop the shaft out that way. then sort it when its out.

not to sure what you mean, is that in the gaiter or am i thinking of wrong place :oops:

yes if you release the gaiter the shaft joint will slide out and allow you to remove the engine.

8) thats good thought it was all over lol.

will have another go tomorrow and if nothing, will remove gaiter etc

should have done that, would have saved me the cost of a drive shaft.. lol!
