Oh dear, I ripped the rears out and I love it

Third gear is totally different now and I've noticed I drive it like a slag now lol...

All I've took out are the rear seats, boot carpet and parcel shelf - thats all really, surely thats not a monster amount of weight??? but it makes a huge difference?

Basically my question is how many more bhp's would I need to be able to put my seats back in but retain the extra poke it has now?

I haven't got any scales to weigh all that lot and figure out what bhp to the weight i've removed is.

Ta!

iirc its something like 1bhp per 10kg lost (could be wrong) but the rear seat backrest weighs a sh*t load more than i thought it would so adds up.

Also when the car is stripped down you hear every little noise and rattle which makes the car feel more raw/quicker. Mine feels rapid at the mo as its still stipped down in the back

That lot, plus the spare and cage, weighs 50 kilos mate.

So I only need say roughly 7 bhp more to put it all back in for it to be the same?

feels like i'd need a lot more than that!

Twas fun today though bouncing off the limiter alot quicker than usual but I couldn't live with it like that day to day I don't think - my heads hurting now!

when i took the back seats and spare wheel out my 172 out it felt soo much more alive and willing then when i put it back in it felt boring so i took everything out rear of my front seats and never wanted to put owt back in.
id do it to my williams but it just seems like it shouldnt be done to one, a hybrid yeah but not a proper williams lol
