Few decent pics of the car, (the ones i took before didn't really do the wheels justice) Got some professional photos taken down at the docks in Belfast right beside the Stena HSS which was being worked on. :)

Ive grown to like the black OZ cronos, makes the car look a bit more mean IMO, but I'm still going to get a set of turbines for a summer wheel.

Had the car Rolling roaded at DS Autos in Antrim.

Figures:

138.3 Hp @ 6662 rpm
118 ft-lbs @ 4511 rpm

Was also talking to one of the previous owners who got the engine work done and it turns out that the car hasn't had aftermarket cams fitted, so I'm happy with the figures. Need to get the air/ fuel ratios sorted tho as they were all over the place, apart from that and the erratic idling sometimes the car is running well. fingers crossed :P

c&c welcome

Cheers,

Darren

Get a bosch sensor or NTK, dont go to renault they will bend you over, and universal sensors generally arent up to the job.

Cheers :) Think it had a respray years ago, but when i got it it was near pink, it had been sitting about for a couple of years before i got it,

used a clay bar on the paint to get rid of all the crap off it, then some T-Cut for any bad bits, and finally some Zymol wax (from the wee brother) and it made such a difference, bringing the paintwork up

Cheers people :) Its a scorpion exhaust, not overly loud until you boot it, then theres a nice wee note out of it. I'm not 100% sure on the size. Take it you mean of the tip? Ill take a run out here and measure it.

Yep its definitely a scorpion backbox. The bit you can see in the pic is part of the scorpion symbol and it says 'SCORPION' above that.

Its a full system as far as the CAT then someone has welded a seperate piece of stainless in for a decat. Sounds well when you have the boot down, but quiet enough when driving normally :)

nice size pipe, sits well 8)

Thanks, just need to get the blowout sorted, which should help the note from it aswell.

Also i have a problem with the power assisted steering, in that, it dosn't seem to be working. It squeaks and squeals when turning and you can see the pipes going to the fluid reservoir pulsating and moving as the steering is turned,

Ive changed the fluid for slick 50 and bled the system which has made no difference, its also pushing fluid up through the cap.

Anyone has the same sort of problem? It seems to me like a blockage, but is that possible? Ir is it more likely to be the pump itself?

Many thanks,

Darren

Fitted a new coolant bottle today, it fairly freshens up the engine bay!

Old one (had actually tried cleaning it first, so it was much worse) and new

Bay:

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c53/coolfire_99/16v%20Engine%20Bay/P5010079.jpg

Also a little query? Is this the right cap for the coolant? The right pressure one? bought it about a week ago, and was told it was the correct one for my car, but the coolant bottle came with a different one (brown and white) in the packaging, and he gave me my money back for it and held onto it, because i had already bought a new one the week before.

No theres no ratings or numbers on it at all, yea i was thinking it was from a newer model or something, Will it make any difference? The cooling system is working fine, car isn't overheating or anything.

Well folks, bit of an update, after nearly a year :D

finally got round to getting a few pics...

Managed to get hold of a mint set of TURbines, and had them fitted for a month or two, (they are extremely rare to come by over here in Ireland, as are valvers :P ) and i like how they make the car a little more original.

There was a bad build up of brake dust from the two track-days on them, so removed the wheels to get at it and remove it, they were then sealed with 3-4 coats of wheel sealant to protect them a little better.

Also fabricated up my own brace for the rear, to allow the harnesses to be fitted to (for the track-days)

And fitted new foglights.

Still To Do:

Need to get some new front indicator lenses, and also a set of Ph 1 rear lenses.

Then eventually get the exterior resprayed to tidy it up a bit (arches are starting to rust, as they all seem to do) and thats probably it!

C&C welcome :)

Anyways on with the photos

Rear brace for the track-day:
