View Full Version : Location of oil pressure & temp senders?

Do people know where these are located? Not talking about the oil warning sender by the oil filter, or are they in the same sender?

I've got an oil leak, and it's been suggested on another thread that the pressure sender might be near it - ie. on the back of the block.

Cheers,

Al

the little black round item by the red hole is the oil pressure switch on the back of the block.

oil temp/level sender is on the front of the block down by where the dip tube goes in. follow it down and you will see it.

and tell us.

Inner C.V. boot had a very tiny split in it, splashed old grease up onto the block. Looked like oil though & it was watery too!

Had a sigh of relief when i found the problem!

New problem is that i can't get a boot for it, it's the one with the metal sleeve.

easier to buy a complete shaft. either new or secondhand. plus have you tried german swedish and french

or euro car parts

or mat brown or winston off here secondhand.

Yeah tried the two of those mate!

I'm going down to my unit in a minute, and i'm just gonna superglue it back together, it's only a split about 1cm long.

Otherwise i think i'll probably get in touch with winston and get one.

Can't really believe a C.V. boot has been so difficult to locate.
