Hybrid engine...Which ECU?

If i were running 2ltr bottom end with a 1.8 head, would a valver ECU work before mapping? Also the same with a williams ECU.

I think the valver ecu would run the engine but wouldnt be ideal, would be enough to take it to be mapped.
