I posted up about a week ago as i buggered the thread on the of the pipes on my steering rack.
I want to change the rack and i have a spare valver one.
Can i use my valver rack and just use the longer track rods from the williams rack?
Cheers
Amir
i wouldnt no.
What i would do is buy some new control arms from Eurocar parts £30 a side that is for the williams (comes with trackrods) and screw them into your valver rack.

Right ok,
I assume that will be a more reliable set up! I assume they scres in at the end of the gaitors?
Cheers guys!
Amir
yep, pull your gaitor off, and with mole grips undo the two locking disks. The washer inside will probally snap (you get a new one)
If your rack is tired - these will be a god send as they are so much tighter than old ones once fitted !

Oh and are the racks difficult to remove/refit? Engine will be out!

northy, them arms don't fit matey. i got a set when i had my widetrack done and they were to short. ended up getting a new set from renault for around £140 the pair, returned ecp ones and got money back.
just fitted a set to 0171 ok mate.
but eurocar parts arent the smartest company to deal with...i struggled to get what i got from them.
hmmm maybe they gave me valver ones insted of williams one, even tho i gave them williams part numbers  is there alot of adjustment left on them norty?
id say the trackrods screw in a fair way...check the projects section mate. BTW 0171 isnt tracked up yet.
