Simple answer is dont bother with 17's mate!

They look ridiculous, put large amounts wear/stress on your car etc.

Stick with 15's, they look better, handle MUCH better and tyres are cheaper meaning you can buy the best quality tyres! :o

You'll find most on here will say 15's.

I would try and fit 18's. They look better.

Instead of blowing your opinion in the kids face why not just answer his question ? At the end of the day it's his car. I agree with you, 17's are wank and i hated mine but he may have a show car or not care about handling.

You want PCD 4 x100, ET 36 +/- a few, centre bore 60.1

I was just giving an honest opinion.

Perhaps sensible, honest advice to the kid?

Im sure he won't go on my recomendation though, he'll make his own mind up. I was just giving my views.

if you want bigger wheels 16" look good, but IMO 17's are too big and will ruin the handling
