I've done it before, with martins williams 2 main carpet which is now mine and a williams 1 boot carpet that i got off northy!

I used autoglym interior shampoo for the main and then used some washing powder on the boot, never soaked either just wet a sponge then rubbed it into the carpet and specifically the areas affected by crap, then let it dry in the sun for a while, wouldn't mind doing them again though!

I was thinking more about in the car. What about those carpet shapooers? Would they be ok to use on a car?

I done mine with a carpet shampooer. Come out fine. I did do it at the height of summer though so could leave windows open and drying time was minimal.

Truck wash is good too, but don't leave it on too long!
