i need to top up my car but not sure what oil the garage put in at i service think they sadi they used fully synthetic. if i was to put semi synthetic would it matter if they had put fully in???also can u mix normal oils with synthetic?

wonder if the garage will remember what oil they put in???otherwise il have to change the whole lot. is 5 litres wnough for the williams?

Why not? I put fully synth in mine, mobile one, and had to top up with semi synth recently.

do you have a reason why mate, because its been ok to mix fully, semi, and mineral for about 15 years now.....

dont worry, every oil you can buy off the shelf will mix with each other

what do you think a semi is.......its part mineral, part synthetic

you CAN mix them, its not ideal but it shouldnt cause any problems at all

so glad to hear this about the mixing - i was just sitting quietly, thinking about whether i've killed my engine or not - LOL!
