Less limiter bouncing and it would have been even more shameful for him 8)

Nice one

A good clean win. Your friend needs to learn to pre-spool his turbo around slow corners & standing-starts or else even lesser cars will leave him for dead in the first 50 metres. And getting another 20 bhp more might worsen the spool up - but don't tell him that first. :D

AP-Devlopments worked williams head, catcams and verniers, williams engine and box with the normal full system exhaust with cat bypass, williams downpipe and manifold

Its been remapped since and he is about to have the astra mapped with 260hp so he says

Power to weight. 180+bhp in a lightweight clio v 230bhp in a large fully kitted hatch would make it closer than youd think.

HUmmm...Regardless, once rolling P2W ratio is not as apparent as from a standing start. Plus the torque from the turbo should kill the clio!

I have agree with Ali on this (god I hate to say that ;))

My m8 has a standard Mk5 GTi and going of my comparisons it will defo be quicker than a std Willie. The gti is only 150bhp per ton (although they are supposed to be nearer 210bhp than 197) but the torque makes a big difference (maybe from a launch it would be closer but from say 50mph the golf would be quicker imo)

BUT the power to weight difference on this car and the astra is pretty big so you never know lol. Well thats cleared that up! ;)

Also, the shorter gearing of the Williams would help too. At least, I'm guessing it's shorter than the Astra! And perhaps the N/A lump has a larger power band?

I'd want my money back on that Astra... They're 210-220bhp to start aren't they?
