Let my car get up to temperature yesterday, so the fan was kicking in...?

Took It for a drive..? came back...! let it idol for a while, Basically the car was RED HOT

Sat in the car, put the clutch in went to put it in to reverse, and got a load of cogs chewing together.... OK :shock:

Took it out, tried first......wouldn't engage, once again aload of chewing cogs...?

WHAT DO YOU REKON GUYS...?

New Clutch..? if so..., what to do rekon to the K-tec uprated Clutch

Gear Box...? If so...., I am in need of the forum for a gearbox :shock:

try put it in first before you engage reverse. and / or adjust your gear linkage.

check fan is engaging and coolant is in good order

Does it have the manifold heatshield fitted?

manifold heat sheild is there, and clutch cable is spot on, i did it! :lol:

never had box/clutch issues atall before, sure ur pushin the clutch pedal all the way down? get down the gym n sort that left leg out! :lol:

I tried it again today and clutch was fine, np selected every gear np,

May be clutch cable getting abit stick & hot,

Ha Ha coops, couple more press's of that clutch my muscles will be ripping out my leg, lmao :lol:

Clutch take-up point can sometimes drop lower when the engine is running hot. In some case, it might even drop below the floorboards. If it really bothers you, you can try adding a small spacer on the clutch cable to shorten the slack. But not too much, as that may cause the clutch to not fully engage.

dont put a spacer in, it will snap the cable, did it to that car ages ago and thats another reason the old cable went after 100 odd miles!

Fair do's...

I will run it as it is for now, see what happens, if it does get stuck again i will look in to the cable, although i have been told that it might be my pressure plate....?
