Car is annoying me a bit now, i've checked and changed quite a bit but it still seems to be acting up. It does it at without fail at 4.5K and sometimes 3.5k! It's annoying the hell out of me. The 1st video is at standstill, both times feathering the throttle so you can see when it does it. 2nd one is in 1st gear.

What do you think it could be?

Checked leads, plugs, changed coil, checked injectors and changed seals, checked dizzy cap (looks new), changed rotor arm!

Xr25?

Took the injector rail off yesterday and changed all the seals etc.

Just changed the CAS too, hmm i dunno!

It was fine for 3k miles though, just developed!

XR25 is the Renault Diagnostics tool

just been on a 10 mile trip and it seems to be better with the new CAS on.

It still missfires now but only on WOT and 4k+ revs! I can feather the throttle to like 6k and it seems ok but if I let it drop and put my foot down it will missfire instantly.

Xr25, so I have to go to Renault to get this treatment? How much is it?

fuel pressure

AmDaMan

i'm not sure.

Do you need a new TB or can you cange the TPS without a new TB?

Can you get fuel pressure checked?

VIPERONE

yeah its simple enough for a garage or me. you need to de pressurise and plumb in a meter.. how old is the fuel filter?

the red thing can be changed by itself.. the renault diagnostic test would find out if that part was at fault.

Nick Hill has a clip... for the price of buying every sensor and possible fault then I would have to recommend this way..

the main cause for misfires is moisture...but... yours seem to do it at a particular point in the rev range which is random and strange lol.

Winston had moisture in his ECU which caused a misfire, ive had misfires from poor honky tonk country fuel. lol

I've got a spare PH2 valver ECU sitting in my garage which works fine if you wanna give it a try/buy!

Give me a shout if i can help.

try soakin the TPS in wd40, i had a throttle problem which caused the engine to fall to idle doin that solved it, does yours stutter like a misefire or just lose all power?

Justin..

ph2 ecus can only be used on the original car unless you give the keys and IR sensor

Fuel filter is 3k old.

I may to go to a specialist yeah, but will try and avoid this if possible depending on cost.

The weather has been fine for a few days though so i'm sure it's not moisture.

The fuel has been either Vpower or BP ultimate, it's annoying as hell!

cheers cliokidz but as said I'd need the right keys due to the immob.

Justin, it's like a violent rev limiter, but if you keep accelerating it will continue but keep missing. Did you see the video at the top? it illustrates it quite well

Sorted chaps, cheers! Must have been an earthing issue. Sanded them all down and re routed the one that goes near the back of the box and put it on the mount. Bought a new earth strap and it's all good :D

yeah I might have to :D

just been out to get the TPS readings:

R-Y 5.24
R-G 1.82
Y-G 3.83

That's not too good is it? When adjusting it do all the values change at once?
