Guys – I need a volunteer who can test a new up rated dog bone mount made for us by Powerflex.

http://www.williamsclio.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20711&highlight=

The dog bone mount will be supplied to you complete that only requires fitting and testing.

I would prefer if the tester drives daily in his / her car and notices any improvements / feedback.

Can you add your name to the below list with what car you drive if you want to be considered for this product test. Alternatively – if you know of someone who is prone to destroying Clio’s your recommendation is also valued so we can pick a tester.

Sounds intresting :D

i have had the normal standard job and the uprated hill power job, i would say you dont notice much difference until its been used a while and gone soft, but im guessing these should last a bit longer.

do you have any prices on the whole kit northy ?

no not yet.

I havent recieved it but all i know is that powerflex have done two top hat bushes held in with a washer either side.

My suggestions were to overmould the bush into the dogbone so it was entirely solid with a stainless steel sleeve.

Powerflex are very good - and will no doubt consider any improvements !

I'd be glad to test it for ya 8) My car is a daily drive and standard at the mo, but soon to have lots of engine work done so can test it under both conditions.

I don't mind testing it like. As long as it doesn't cost the earth to have fitted?

I'm running std. mounts so will hopefully notice a difference!

If you were to pick me, what should I be looking out for? What does a dog-mount actually do? Lol.

The Valver is slammed on coilovers, with just the usual exhaust and breathing mods as well as 15" alloys and low profile tyres if that helps.

I drive the car most days into Uni, Work, Footy, Shopping or just to mate's. So I go over various routes. Some motorway, some town driving, some smooth and some rough road. Also where I live the rural roads are quite twisty if that helps?

Cheers. :)

Northy - Too be honest, unless it's about testing to destruction (looking at 2live :)), I don't think there will be much to feedback on the Powerflex bushes. If there's any significant difference in feel or handling, it will probably be more due to older original bushes rather than upgraded powerflex bushes. So, if possible, should try comparing it to brand new original bushes.

if you want someone to hammer it and test it properly, id give it to 2live, he doesnt like very many things  so if it gets the thumbs up from him it must be good

And i cant say ho good just a standard new dogbone is  especially considering my old one all the ubber was split and the middle fell out of the bigger end when it was removed
