right then. i own a williams 3 had it about a year and a half in the first six months i had to fix the gearbox when a selecter took every tooth of both fifth gear cogs :cry:

six months down the line leaving a shell station i set of like a tit the whole front end of the car was bouncing off the floor :roll: (yes i know maybe abit to violent a launch).When all of a sudden it felt like it popped out of gear, then proceeded to rollout of the station.Whilst i was trying to get it in a gear that would produce drive i came to rest about 100 meters from the station.I thought i might of popped a shaft or some thing simple then fear set in the gearbox had gone once more

will have the engine and gearbox out buy the weekend to see the damage
but not looking forward to the bill for chav like moment of madness

yes it still reads. pretty sure i know what the prob is but then i might be wrong

as for a second hand box ive been looking but they come rarly and are gone quickly as i dont need the car at the moment the urgency has not been there. ive looked at other model boxes but i am unsure about the strength and longevity of the box

sounds like the circlip has come off with that fault

Do a search mate - im sure you can fix it !

thats sounds better than i thought a friend off mine had the symptons and on a 16v 19 and hed broke one of the shafts but thanks for the welcomes and ill keep udates and questioncoming as soon as poss
