Why do my new mintex pads have a "sticky pad" on t

they have what is like double sided tape on the back of them where i would normally apply some copper grease, what is this for???

i think its an anti squeal pad. instead of copper grease.

There anti sqeel shims Patrick, copper slick it better though imo!
