I have been really slack with my upkeep of the 16v recently so I decided to spend all Saturday, and I really do mean all day Sat!

Vacumed it, washed it, polished it, sprayed all the bits that were fading, bumper strips, front and rear wipers, rear spoiler, scuttle panel, bumper inserts, door handles, rear spoiler, vent insert etc.

I also added clear side repeaters which look good IMO.

Just want some opinions please...what else needs doing to the 16v?

On the 3rd picture down does anyone think that the car sits a bit high at the front? I think it does. When I go pass shop windows where you can see the car in the reflection it always looks as though it rides high at the front?

Honest opinions on the wheels please? I'm starting to get bored, go or stay?

Here are the pictures;

Scuttle panel (matt black) and wipers (satin) sprayed, that's a shadow on the left of the panel.

Inserts sprayed matt black, difficult to show on the picture but makes a big but subtle difference to the car. They were all faded.

I pulled all the bump strips off to spray as that would have involved too much masking. Polished the side too wile the strips were off, much easier. The amount of shite behind the strips was unreal, so gave them a good clean.

Polished up with strips back on sprayed matt black

the car looks nice m8
i know what u mean about crap collecting behind the side strips
mine was manky

i like the polished lip on your wheels but they look a bit bland all in black on pic 3 it looks like they have polished edges on the wheel fins (think its just the light) but i think it could look good if u did polish then
like a knife edge on 1 side
if u know what i mean

i dont know what u used but you can use a hot air gun on all the plastics carefully and go over them with trim gel they will look like new and stay that way for ages!

just dont get to close with hot air gun or stop in one place, always keep itr moving otherwise u could melt them and have funny darker patchs!

but yeah car your car looks great after

Yep it's the light but now you've suggested that I might think about doing that. It might look nice actually. A bit different.

The car is almost immaculate. Theres just a bit of rust on the NS sill, and bottom of the door and its coming throught on the NSR arch too. Need to get that sorted.

I like the badges on the rear as most do standard, its the style of lettering they look arty.

I was thinking of spraying these black or gunmetal too?

Has anyone done this. What we reckon? Leave alone or have ago?
