right the story is im buying some cams off a lad who my mate knows they have been in his car for 2 weeks kent cams there r there going in my 16v clio mk1 just a few Qs really how can i know that they r fast road & kent cams will they be stamped some were on them and im buying the pullys off him too does any 1 have step by step ins to set them up how hard r they to set up ??
plz help

If they are kent they will be a code stamped (2 letters and 4 numbers) on the dizzy end of the inlet cam.

This code will correspond to the profile and details can be found on kent website. IE RN1602 = fast road.

As for setting them up, do a search on the site, there are a few threads in the history covering this.

any 1 know how to time up kent pullys ??? iv tryed to do a search on here but can not find anything ??

you time the cams up as normal and then fit the pulleys as normal. they can then be adjusted on a rolling road.

can u not a just them your self or is it best setting them at base setting then get them set up on a rolling road ? ?

Set them to stock settings if I was you, or just nudge the inlet to the right a little and the exhaust to the left but only slightly, you are messing with cam timings....Put it together and get someone to set them up using DTi guages. Stan on here can do it, he lives in swansea if thats any good?

Weren't there issues a while back with Kent pullies failing, causing massive engine damage to multiple people?

I believe there was, pesonally I have never had a problem, I have Kents and they have run spot on in my car for over 2 years.

Only ones i heard of was Martins hybrid when Craig had it, and one other but i dont know who that was. iirc a few on here run the pullies Gaz has them also.
