losing coolant

over the past few weeks ive noticed my coolant is dropping. Ive had a good look and it looks like its leaking from somewhere on the drivers side of the engine.

ive checked water pump but that looks bone dry. It looks as if its leaking from somewhere round the back of the engine?
is there any pipes around there what could be split etc.

also whats the best way to get a bit of acess to have a proper look :?

access from underneath or put car on axle stands,take engine off mount and jack engine up.

bear in mind it'll only come up as far as exhaust lets it,any higher will require splitting downpipe but only a drastic measure!!!!!

I had a similar problem, and finaly found the source of the leak when the car got very very hot, and the water system became pressurised and checked the engine bay for a leak then and found it. :?:
