No point skimping on getting a cheap belt and it snaps m8...it's prtty important! Last for a long enough time.

£70 for just the belt ? I thought that was for the kit lol, GSF sell the belt for £20 and IMHO will be as good as an OE item, may even be an OE item

I seem to remember paying nearer £100 for the kit from renault around 12 months ago.

I may be wrong but Im confident that was the price.

Ktech quote around £250 to change it inc kit don't they?

Well thats for belt and tensioners yes but would presume if you are changing belt you would be chnging tensioners then i remembered this was WC

Just had this done on my Williams ~by a very good Renault Technician :shock: :shock: ~~ one of a select band I ask to work on my cars :roll:

He charged me £60 for his time.

Parts repaced :~

Ancillary belt ~~ 77 00 745 397 ~~ £9:16 plus vat :shock: :D :shock:
Timing belt kit + tensioner ~~ 77 01 469 775 ~~ £55:14 plus vat :shock: :D :shock:

Total cost about £140 ish :wink: :wink: :wink:

Got my cambelt from GSF last month. 18.75 GBP retail. But discounted to 16.70 GBP when I said I was from this forum (all non-VAT prices).

Also replaced both idler pulleys, water pump and aux belt. Total cost about 250 GBP including labour; which is about normal for the this type of job here.

made by continental, a German company with tuv accolades.
