I think my insurers think I have deep pockets! Got my renewal through a few days ago 1180 quid tpf&t valver with williams engine and loads of mods. I'm 25 1 yr ncb wtf!!? Asked about putting it in 3000 miles limited mileage ...(saving for weekend use) and he got it down to 1050 quid....

A few years ago I would'nt have blinked at paying this much but now it just takes the piss....specially as the car is running so shit...so I'm paying for performance I don't have! I'm considering not insuring it then selling...but I would miss fcs.. :?

Did you get in it one day and it was suddenly slow, or is it generally getting slower?

I had a proplem with mine last month. Everytime i took it to 7k it died before it got there at about 5500rpm. Just slowly pulled through like it was a cylinder down or somethin. It was shit. Since the engine has been out and back in it aint done it since. What do you mean by slooww anyway? Try disconnecting the ecu for a bit to reset it.

Heres a cut and paste of the list we send out to customers. Nearly everyone we sell a car to ends up insuring with Keith Michaels, but if tis caged also try Graham Sykes who seem very good with competition or track prepared cars.

Liverpool Victoria (Frizzel) phone no. 0800 709709 . They are normally very competitive on high performance cars and very rarely insist on trackers for high insurance group vehicles .

Sureterm Direct phone no. 0870 2020230 . Good with most Jap imports , but especially with 4x4's .

Keith Michael's Insurance phone no. 0870 8453333 & 8458888 . Recommended by a few customers with high performance vehicles.

Adrian Flux phone no. 08700 777888 . Generally one of the better insurers
for imports , although can insist on Cat 1 immobilisers when some others
dont . Starting to clamp down on modified vehicles though .

Tesco car insurance phone no. 0845 300 4400 Or online at http://www.tesco-car-insurance.co.uk . They seem to very good all round , especially with medium risk cars and are not too strict regarding immobilisers.

Privilege phone no. Or online at. http://www.privilege.com/ . Dont specialize in imports , but generally competitive for high performance vehicles

>Graham Sykes phone no 0845 1300 231 . Extremely competitive on high performance and modified vehicles including cars with roll-cages.

uh... am I missing something...? I don't get it... having a roll cage puts your premiums up? It's a safety device, surely they dont think your gonna go out and test it first chance

Same with brake modifications Jesus. Could stop you having an accident, but will put premiums up.

u serious!? i've never claimed for mods you see. I dont agree with it, insurance is already fraudulent as it is... robbing twats...

by the same logic a turbo that makes you go faster should put the premiums down... but NO, they have to double bum you it! f*****s! lol

If you ring Frizell tell them your a member of amicus the union you get a 5% discount I think.
They never asked for proof from me that I was a member. You have to quote code IEFO though.
There number is 0800 748 748.
However they weren't very decient with the quote when I came to review (was more than the year before premiums).
I cannot see why there charging you so much I only pay £950 and I've got a 1 claim and 2 yrs NCB at 23.
