Let's say it's 1993 again and you're going to order a brand new Williams. Only this time you'd be able to choose any colour you like. Would you still choose blue (449)?

I like the blue and gold combination, but I don't like the fact that there are so many valvers with the same blue colour. I really don't understand why Renault didn't choose a unique colour for the Williams.

I'm not sure what colour I'd choose, but it wouldn't be 449.

I like 449.

432 is nice, but, 449 goes very well on the Williams IMO.

i think naples...or black

Naples red and black would be nice too in combination with gold decals and wheels. But valvers come in those colours, so that still wouldn't be that special.

Maybe a very dark non-metallic blue?

A naples williams is definately the way forward. Mine will soon be there when I plumb a 2.0 in.

I thought 449 was unique to the Willy 1? Thought that valvers only came in 439 Monaco blue? Wrong again lol

Yep, wrong again, lol.
The 16v's and Willy's up to M reg are 449 sports blue, then on the Willy3 and N reg 16v's they introduced 432 Monaco blue which replaced 449 and they continued to use 432 on the 172's.

The blue n gold is the safe bet i think!!!

Yes they were right to only do it in blue as it looks best imo!!!

That napples red looks the dogs dangles with those willy wheels... Green also looks good.

Shame they didn't have the silver like the works rally version.

Could have been 4 good colours choices.

I'd tend to agree.

I also think that 449 is the right blue for the job.. 432 is nice too.. Renault definetly had their thinking caps on that day!

So what if you'd have the money to respray your Williams? Would you play it safe and go for the original colour? Or would you go for the colour you think looks best? Surely your Williams would lose value, but you'd like it even better than you do already. What would you do? 8)

Have the best of both worlds and buy a hybrid. Get good money for the williams and buy a car and full conversion with the proceeds.
