View Full Version : Clean engine bay
I want to give my engine bay a clean this weekend as no garage or valeter will touch it with a steam cleaner (dodgy french electrics). Any tips on cleaning products and materials to use?
Cheers
wd40 and a rag works me every time :D
Virosol, AG engine cleaner or CG Grim reaper will do the job as far as a chemical application is concerned. Rince the bay, spray on the chemical, agitate with a brush or rough cloth then leave to dell for a while. Rince off. if your using a Power wash, just step bak a bit don't focus the stray too much...Keep the car running tho.

Autoglym engine and machine cleaner brush in let stand for a bit rinse off, mope up large puddles of water from plastics etc then spray with autoglym rubber and trim protector well the hoses and airbox.
It is essential to cover up the coil plug leads and spark plug areas, don't use high pressure with your water let the machine cleaner do the work.
