Clutch Problems

Not sure if my clutch has gone. It started at the start of the week occasionally not going in to gear. Yesterday at the lights with the clutch down I could hear a wurring noise, like the gears were slightly engaged. it will not go into gear when stationary when the engine is running.
Is this the clutch gone - it is old now?
Selector forks?
Linkage?
Some thing else? Any ideas??

could be a lot of things. but usually when the clutch goes you get slip as well. this sounds like its not disengaging. maybe clutch pedal ratchet clutch cable or maybe just adjustment even engine mounts.
