hello people please could you help how much dose a megane 2.0 engine differ from a williams one i e engine mounts and were the exaust will run i might be gettin a megane this week and want to drop the williams engine into it if i can :twisted:

Do a few search's mate, been covered alot.....basicly the same engine though, however the heads differ, if you want to use the Megane head you need to get it adapted to accept the dizzy cap.

yes as there is not a lot left of my williams i want to put the engine into the megane i no its a heavyer car but i would rather tune the willy lump up then the megans lump

megane lump is better as a whole working unit. to spice it up a bit you can put the williams std cams in the megane head as they run tamer cams as std as the head is superior. i'd stick with the meggy lump and tune that.

Agree if you've a 2ltr 16v megane engine already don't remove it.

I'd sell the willy lump for 750 and get cams/remap.

in standard for is there much in the overall torq and bhp figures?

top end stock a williams will have it, megane more power through the range.

bear in mind the megane has very tame cams in comparison to the williams.

they can but depending on the megane head casting the bit where the thrust flange is can be the wrong width.

4 or 6 or so mm are the 2 widths.
