Hi guys :)

Can someone please tell me what speed I should be doing in say.. 3rd gear at 3000 revs? I am concerned that my speedo is reading about 30mph when I am actually doing 35-40mph.

Opps.. car is Mk1 1.8 16v with standard turbine alloys (ph1) and a slightly wobbly speedo needle but only upto about 35 (prob on 1mph deviance in wobble max).

Car has had a replacement gearbox about 3 years ago (as seen on receipt list), so I'm wondering if it's anything to do with that.

Thx :)

I mainly ask as normally I go through speed cameras at 30mph with my 200, but going through with the clio everyone seems to be going 20-25mph as reading on my gauge. Makes me wonder if it's right or not.

See if father will lend me the unit tonight as I go over to fiancee's tonight (25ish miles away).
