my water temp has stoped working, the senser that goes into the rediater, one of the wires has snaped, would this stop my fan from working, because it has spoted working, any idaes

your water temp gauge sender/sensor
has got nothing to do with the fan as far as i know .
but you are not making much sense ,cause the temp sensor
is screwed to the cyl head . where as the fan switch is
screwed in to the rad :P

ahh ok, so that is why the fan is not working cause the wire is broke, why would the water temp gauge stop working then.
sensor or wiring fault gauge fault etc
