Any idea's as to what the problem could be?

Ive googled a bit and the results come up with that the tappets needs adjusting, not too sure on how to go about this though.

there self adjusting. if there tapping try an oil change. then its new tappets i,m afraid.

Any recommendations on which oil to use? Also If the oil doesnt help how much would some new tappets be roughly?

They are hydrolic lifters, around £60 i think to buy. Ive got one that comes and goes and its annoying me now! But mine has now done over 160k :wink:

you have to de a car trade to get it.. you can not get it off shelf .. i have seen it on ebay ..


the engine flush has same set up as well..


or get some one you no in trade to get that gear .. i have not tryed that my self but i have used fuel treatment and forte power steering treatment . .. i used the slick 50 power steering treatment after secound aux belt change could not get forte stuff
