i suspect ive bent my subframe when i hit a curb a little while back, passanger side wheel is showing loads of castor on the geometry machine :( u can get 2 fingers between the side of the arch and tyre on the drivers side but passanger side you can only get 1, so basicly its sitting to far back in the arch. i thought and hoped that it was the wishbone but after changing them today its the same :( so how hard is it to change the subframe as this is all thats left to bend right ?

probs next thing to bend after wishbones ah, not too difficult to change, just disconnect:

- pas pipes on rack
- pinch bolt on column
- four subframe bolts
- 2 braces on wishbones to chassis
- gear linkage
- dogbone
- track rod ends
- bottom ball joints

swap it over in a day i'd say, didnt take me long put mine back on other day neway!

MAXIBOY
04-03-2007, 15:52
yes but it just looks normal really as far as i can tell. i would try hub and strut first if you can get spares.

bearing in mind that my yellow subframe is off an early ph1, so the pipe mount is slighty forward on the slope where you think its bent

jay s
04-03-2007, 16:53
oh yeah i see it, hmm gonna do the hub next then see how that goes...

jay s
04-03-2007, 16:56

Justin..
04-03-2007, 17:27
dont know about the lower brace lol. can't really see what it does and no you cant have that one as i already fitted it :P

dont look bent mate tbh, but only way to tell for sure is have it off and pop next to a straight one. but as said i'd try strut, hub etc 1st as they are easier!

can see that top ripple on mine n all here, behing r19 mount
