Was looking under the car tonight for the cap that keeps the jack down (yes I've lost :(), and noticed that the front brakes have braided hoses.

Is this standard on the 1.8 16v or is this something someone has added later?

Fantastic :)

I thought I was buying pretty much a standard... so far I have as bonus's

1) Braided brake lines
2) Magnex XSR03 exhaust system

I move into new house with garage on Monday so next week will be able to have a good nose under neath the little beast :)

I'm positive my speedo is under reading pretty badly, so I think someone had bigger wheels, calibrated it and then put standards on to sell it. (or maybe the replacement gearbox wasn't a 1.8 16v variety?)

also check to see if the rear are braided
if not it will cause wierd braking

Can you clarify exactly where I am meant to replace the hard pipes  Was very wet so not climbing under car tonight, but all I can see is hard pipes all way. Not a sniff of rubber or braided stuff.
