Black Number Plates

Im looking to get some black number plates with the white writing, I suppose you could say the old fashioned type.

Im sure Ive seen a 16v on here with them, possibly Winston's?

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some?

And what's the general felling on these? I.e, good or shit?

Mate had these,got stopped within 3 days of fitting them and told to get em off the car,only pre 65 or something like that are alowed them on.

Thanks for the link.

I have cut my front plate down, square to around 1cm from top of lettering/numbering to the edge, all the way round.

I have been stopped by the cops for speeding and they have never said anything about the square/small plate.

Im not for 1 minute saying that they won't say anything about a black one!

What do we think of em?

if you look left of my post you will see where i live, there is no speed limit over here so i don't think that our local police are bothered about the colour of our number plates do apologise our laws must be different. :oops: :oops:

Yer pay less taxes, :lol: . my road tax is only £140 is this different, no speed limit :lol: car only has to pass a test 1ce in its lifetime {when it firts comes over} no m.o.t :lol: guess i'm pretty lucky in some ways but in others i.e no r.r no tuning shops no same day parts if anythin goes wrong, costs a fortune to get to england. but apart from that its all good.

back to the point 199516v get your car registered over ere then your all legal. 8) 8)

ooh and we can choose our own no plates mine is going from l957stp to 303MAN or WilliMAN and it only costs £60.00 none of this £1500.00 buy a private plate crap.

If so i think i recall a situation on this forum about "you get some good ones and some bad ones so then i left on the limeter 1st +2nd" :P if that is correct you cant be a bad coppa!! love it!
