As far as I know, they will have to sell it to you at that price, otherwise they could face propsecution on product misdescriptions??

I would call into PC world at Oldham and see if they ahve it on stock!!

Then you have something to go back with, or ask them to advise when it is in stock, and can your order be placed as a pre order.

They'll have it covered in the small print, all companies tightened up with there online shopping when Argos and Kodak got caught out a few years back (I know, I benefited from the kodak one through a link on a website, £200's of camera equipment for £90!!)

as far as I know an advertised price is legally an invitiation to treaty ( it prompts you to offer the sum advertised, the retailer accepts and then you have a contract)

But the retailer has the right to refuse to sell to you

mostly though out of goodwill if they have marked a product incorrectly they tend to honour that sales price, and then fix it quickly so as not to get caught again.

so, to my knowledge, if they refuse to sell at that price, legally you have no grounds to argue. . . .

yup as on the web its an invite to buy and they can cancel that invite at any time !

i got into this argument as i ordered a 3 grand laptop which was on offer at 1200 ;) and play.com wouldnt sell it me, i spend the money on my williams in the end lol
