Decided to put a 16v rear beam on my 1.4 hybrid today. Took quite a while but the braking power is much better, even with rubbish discs!

Gay beam bolt wouldn't come off so the nyloc got burnt off.

Did Reno make 2 bearing sizes because the newer looking disc wouldn't fit so I had to use the rusty discs :( it's a 91' beam and those discs were from a '95.

Sits wider in the arches.

:)

much better than the drums, even with the discs in that state. Got an annoying rattle though, sounds like the pads moving about, maybe due to the crappy discs? Goes away when I brake.

Also whats the easiest way to adjust the handbrake nuts as there is hardly any room to get to them!
