Hi Lad's

got the Williams back today after having the starter motor replaced. Went and got some new front tyres and the tracking done and oh my it feels like a totally different car. feels more powerful (tracking was out big time) and handles so much better (not gonna get it lowered now either ;) )

what i need to know tho is how do i adjust the Aux belt for the waterpump/alternator??

it has started to squeek lately but after inspecting the belt by eye and feel it seems to be in good condition. So guessing it just needs a bit mroe tension but unsure how its done on the williams

also i have a starter motor heat shield to fit but didnt get any bolts with it, how does it fit to the back of the block??

cheers

haha, its NOT an easy job, it should be

quite fiddly, requires a small allen bit and a spanner that accepts bits

could you not use a socket with a small extension and an allen bit??

hmm when i did mine i just put the allen key stright in and undid it ?

just a normaly key from a halfrauds set....

used an adjustable to tension once the new belt was on and tightened it with the allen key, had the bonet off as i did it at the same time as the cambelt
also ment i had the pully at the bottom off too which made it easy to get it all back on, but normal allen key and a 9 inch adjustable

i used 7mm alan key bit with 10mm spanner on the end of it, then 22mm spanner for the big nut to adjust it, fiddly but once u get ur technique down its simple enuf
